Introduction

John Hay has rightly quoted ‘Friends are the sunshine of life’, and we tweak it saying let's get the morning sunshine with your friends so you have a ‘Sunny buddy’ & your Vitamin D too.

So we all know the benefits of sunlights - better sleep, better mood, better bones,
etc but we have different plans to achieve our ‘betters’. Only if Sunlight would
have been chargeable would we get our health benefits from ‘Sun’. Our soul has
engraved ‘No Gains without spending money’. Never mind, let's play with our brains
& find a buddy who can come for some gupshups in the morning for 15 mins daily.
Don't forget to get minimal clothing, so maximum skin is exposed to sunlight.

Best time for Sunlight?

The ultraviolet B (UVB) rays in sunlight trigger the production of vitamin D in your skin. Contrary to the popular belief that morning sunlight is more effective for vitamin D synthesis, sunlight at 7 a.m. is not likely to be very beneficial for vitamin D. The sun angle at this time is too low and, hence, UVB rays are filtered by the atmosphere of the Earth. At such a time, the light that you get is not very strong in order to synthesize vitamin D. It is at mid-morning  typically 10am to 12 noon when the angle of the sun permits more direct exposure to UVB rays that is most appropriate for this purpose.
